Aleksei archer, an American performer and model, born in New York City is known for her dramatic performance as well as her versatility. Her birthplace was St. Louis and moved swiftly to New York City when she was only a few days old. In the year 1991, Barnard College awarded her a Bachelor's Degree in the field of art history. She worked as an entry level employee at An American Place, a restaurant in New York City for one year. Guarnaschelli began her culinary career by watching as she watched her mother, who was editing cookbooks in the early days and test a variety of recipes. Her career began under Larry Forgione before working in several Los Angeles, New York and France establishments. She was appointed head chef at Butter. Guarnaschelli participated in the 2007 Farmers Market Battle, a segment of Food Network's Iron Chef America, where she took on Cat Cora. Following her appearance as a judge on the Program, in 2011 she participated in The Next Iron Chef's fourth season in which she came third. She also lost the Food Network Challenge Ultimate Thanksgiving Feast. After The Next Iron Chef's season four,, she was appointed sous-chef by Iron chef Geoffrey Zakarian.
